New Mexico developed a Permanent Supportive Housing pilot program, also known as Linkages, in 2008 to provide tenant-based rental assistance for permanent supportive housing. Currently, this program serves: Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Silver City, Farmington, Roswell and Las Cruces. Subsidies are provided until a household is able to secure a federal Section 8 housing voucher.
The Permanent Supportive Housing program is funded through the State’s General Fund. In 2011-12, the program was allocated $563,700. In 2012-13, it was $461,025. In 2013-14, it was $531,648. In 2014-15, it was $899,151.84.
