The State Housing Tax Credit Contribution Program provides funding to developers of affordable rental housing. Through the program, a non-profit in Connecticut can receive up to $500,000 in state tax credits which can be sold to state business firms in return for cash contributions to affordable housing.
The program is state-funded. Each year, up to $10 million in state tax credits is allocated. Up to $2 million of the state tax credits are set aside for Supportive Housing.
