The New Generations Fund offers acquisition and predevelopment financing for developers committed to the creation and preservation of affordable housing in Los Angeles. The fund is a partnership between the City's Department of Housing and Community Investment and local foundations as well as public and private investment groups. Each year, approximately 300 units are produced through the program.
Funding Description:
Funding for the program is provided by the City of Los Angeles. In FY12, the fund was capitalized with $52 million. The program was funded by local foundations, private investment and the City of Los Angeles.
