Program Description: 

The Housing Development Grant  (HDG) Fund provides funding for acquisition, rehabilitation, and new construction through a competitive application process to preserve and expand the supply of affordable housing. In FY12, HDG funds contributed to the development of 455 units.

Funding Description:

The Department was budgeted $4.3 million total funds in FY13-14 for the Colorado Affordable Housing Construction Grants and Loans program to increase the supply of affordable housing.The Department requested an annual $4 million General Fund increase to the HDG fund for the development of an estimated 800 additional affordable rental housing units per year. For FY14-15, HDG received $8.2 million in funding.
