The Human Development Division in Colorado Springs provides funds in the form of grants to local non-profit organizations that provide emergency care and shelter. Eligible activities include shelter operations, and related support services. This program, combining federal and local resources, served 13,187 individuals in 2012.
Funding Description:
Funds combine CDBG funding with city discretionary human services dollars from the city's general fund. The City has allocated $375,100 for 2014 for youth services and emergency care and shelter programs.
