The Affordable Housing Development Fund provides loans for construction, predevelopment costs, and rehabilitation of rental or for-sale properties targeting households with incomes at or below 60% of the area median income (AMI) for rental units and 115% of AMI for homeownership units. The fund tends to prioritize elderly housing projects, as well as projects with support programs such as self-help housing and self-sufficiency activities aimed to increase income. The maximum loan amount is $500,000.
This fund is a revolving loan fund, initially funded by a one-time bond issued by the state of Mississippi.
